Tab Scissors & Glue: Extensions for Chrome Use

Tab Scissors and Tab Glue are two extensions to use for quickly splitting your tabbed browser windows into groups and "gluing" browser windows back together. As a teacher who has to transfer grades from my Edmodo gradebook to my district gradebook, both extensions save me time minimizing and sizing windows. Anything that I need to do using split screens can be done more efficiently with Tab Scissors and Tab Glue.

Check them out:

  1. Hi Kate, I'd actually not heard of these two Chrome extensions. They look super handy! I'm also writing because I’m the community manager for Shadow Puppet, a new free storytelling app for iPhone and iPad. With Shadow Puppet you can easily create a narrated slideshow from photos, share it via email, SMS or on social networks, and embed it on a website or blog. When we designed Shadow Puppet, we made sure that it was a tool that both children and adults would find quick and easy to use, helpful for sharing ideas and fun to boot.

We have seen quite a bit of use of Shadow Puppet in the classroom, from kindergartens to universities. Now we are reaching out to folks who are active in the education technology space to get Shadow Puppet in front of more teachers. We think it is a powerful tool for teachers and students, and are hoping to develop Shadow Puppet into an even better way to share ideas and tell stories with feedback from teachers using technology in the classroom. We'd love to talk with you more!

You can check out Shadow Puppet here:

  2. This is amazing! Thanks so much for this tip! Can't wait to try it out!

  3. Emily, thanks for the recommendation of Shadow Puppet. I downloaded it and I'm excited to play around. Always enjoy trying out new tools! Once I become familiar, I'll be sure to write a post about it. :-) Trust me, you'll like Tab Scissors & Glue!

  4. @exploring Elementary, You are welcome!
